The Marketing and Communication Department (MCD) is responsible for various internal and external marketing and communication functions.
The department is divided into these functional areas:
Advertising - including branding.
Communication - internal and external
Corporate website - including social media.
Digital Signage
Media liaison
Publications - internal and external
Public relations and event management - including protocol and corporate gifts.
Student recruitment
Call centre.
Audio-Visual services for events

Through the innovative amplification of its Brand, the MCD will lead the positioning of CPUT as the preferred University of Technology in SA, and beyond

· Leverage technology to innovatively amplify our brand
· Using marketing & communication to position the CPUT Brand
· Strengthen and expand partnerships to advance our strategic objectives
· Ensure appropriate governance structures are in place and adhered to
· Ensure that we have appropriate capabilities to deliver our vison
