The functions, roles and services that the department offers to staff

The Marketing and Communication Department (MCD) is responsible for various internal and external marketing and communication functions.

The department is divided into these functional areas:

  • Advertising - including branding.

  • Communication - internal and external

  • Corporate website - including social media.

  • Digital Signage

  • Media liaison

  • Publications - internal and external

  • Public relations and event management - including protocol and corporate gifts.

  • Student recruitment

  • Call centre.

  • Audio-Visual services for events

Through the innovative amplification of its Brand, the MCD will lead the positioning of CPUT as the preferred University of Technology in SA, and beyond
